Well, I felt like a kid again tonight.  At the Jones Publication's New York Showcase at the Manhattan Pavilion Petey P'Doodle was nominated for a Dolls of Excellence Award for 2002. It's like the Academy Awards, The Emmy's and the Tony's all rolled into one. 

As you know, just to be nominated is such an honor that nomination night is as exciting as the awards night in August. The Nominations were announced at a really delicious reception and cocktail party given this evening by Jones Publications.  Doll and Teddy bear artists and supporters excited after such a stunning day of sales at the show standing around with drinks in sparkling stemware. 

The tension was very high as the Nominated dolls and teddy bears were flashed on a gigantic screen at one end of the reception area and the nominees were announced. Frankly,  I was a mess. My friend John Medieros, who is a miniaturist and writer for publication Master Collector On Line, was there as a press correspondent (and gave me a tad of emotional support) So when Petey's category popped up - and I saw Petey P'Doodle's name flashed on the larger than life screen.  I just shouted like a kid and then couldn't stop laughing.  Finally, I had just grinned so much my cheeks hurt. 

I'm just so so excited. So excited and proud of Petey P'Doodle.  He always wanted to be class president.
